Cenpos taking up to 1 minute to return auth when EMV terminals in play.

I have 2 customers who are using EMV terminals.  If the USE EMV flags are set to N, back office transactions process in a normal amount of time (5 seconds).  With the EMV terminals set to Y, complete transactions take up to 1 minute.  The time seems to be *after* the card is swiped on the terminal until FACTS gets the response and starts "moving" again.  Does anyone else have similar experience, or better yet, a solution?

There may be some logging that can be turned on and looked into (or leveraged by custom code) that might help research - if you haven't seen it check out the recording (https://community.infor.com/infor-erp-facts---partner-community-group/w/infor-erp-facts-partner-wiki/161/9-3-2-1-recorded-training) for the heading for "Background logging (behind-the-scenes process logging):" . Maybe using those logs can help find if the bottleneck is truly a communication lag coming back from Cenpos, or something else?
