Campagin runs of product in VM

Has anyone found a way to handle campagin runs? For example we receive orders for parts A, B, C, D from multiple customers. We would like to run all of the A jobs at one time (thus saving setup and breakdown time), then run the B jobs, C jobs, and D jobs. I am the IT manager at my company and I am the expert in this area. Are you going Concurrant or Lean scheduling? I see you are in the implementation phase, what does you Infor Rep recommend?

We are going concurrent. So far there has been no direction in that area. I will note however that we have a meeting scheduled with our Infor Rep. We are trying to see what other users are doing as this area seems to be a problem from what we are hearing.

Run them all as Inventory orders then issue them to the sales orders out of Inventory. Run all your A parts through receive them to Inventory then parse out to the individual Sales orders. If you enter all your customer orders material planning will show the amount of total demand for the part. More info if this is not an option please.

That surely is one way, but you need to give us more info - what's the minimum order size, do you want to receive them to inventory and then issue from inventory, what are the odds that an order would have a, b, and c on it - there -by waiting until you completed all the a and all the b before you got to c. Way too many questions waiting to be answered before any one of us, no matter how smart or experienced can help you. Meet with the infor reps and review all the different choices. Then hook up with your closest user-group. Good Luck!
