Using Thin CLients with WIndows 8 to post Labor Tickets

We have been using thin clients to clock labor through the Kiosk application of VTA with no problems. We recently upgraded to Server 2012 with WIndows 8. When I try to configure the Kiosk it does not recognize the machine name. The old thin clients are on server 2008 R2 running windows XP. ANy suggestions?
