Need Help with API for Wave Picking in MWS410

Hello everyone,

We've been successfully utilizing the Wave Picking functionality in MWS410 to sort and select open deliveries. However, we're looking to automate this process using an API but have not been able to find a suitable one.

Our current manual process involves:

Sorting through open deliveries in MWS410.
Using the Action -> Select (F17) to pick specific deliveries as per our requirements.
Finally, utilizing Action -> Release All Picking Lists to generate a wave.

We are seeking guidance or information on an API that replicates this process. Any assistance or insights on relevant APIs or alternative approaches would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Thakur, for us also wave picking is very essentially. During our project from OnPremise to M3 MT CLOUD there was also the question to automate this process using API´s.

Unfortuantley there are no standard API´s yet and we ended up by using XtendM3 to get a custom API.

Should this not be able to handle by creating IPS API where necessary?
This would also utilize standard M3 Functionality without having to re-code functionality.

Thus not requiring XTendM3 Coding.

we also tried that together with Infor technical consultants but without any success.

To be honest we have tried already two times to handle something by using IPS, but never succeeded in the expected way.

XtendM3 was always working great.

Interesting, I have had great success with IPS API's in the past, although I am XTendM3 certified as well, and understand what you say since this is a more dynamic & performance friendly solution.
