PCS411PF - Product costing --> add freight element for purchased items

Dears all and happy new year!

Reaching out to you with a small question for the new year. We are using the PCS411PF report to track all costing elements for items. However, the report works perfectly for this on manufactured items, but for purchased items I'm not able to add all. I have mapped MCCOMA to get costing elements (such as material and labour), but I'd also like to see costin for purchased items. In this example we have added a certain procentage for freight handling on purchased items. I'm not able too understand which table I should map up to find this.

I would appreciate your support on this!

May I ask which "Print type" are you using in PCS410 to run the report?

I normally use this report only to compare with prior dates (3) maybe I can learn something new using a different type.

Hi Elisabetta

We use print type 1 (printout for documentation). I have altered the document to include the costing elemets in MCCOMA for all maufactured items. This works actually really fine.

I checked MCCOPU, but it does not contain what I need. Please see below, you'll see a clip from PPS295. What I'm looking for is the values for the costing elements. I was not able to find this in MCCOPU

Hi Kristoffer,

You should consider using table MCELEM to get purchase costing elements for each purchase products. Logical key for MCELEM is the same as MCHEAD.

It should have what you need.
It contains the Costing Model used for the Item/Cost type.
Then lookup the Model in MPCCDF to find all related Costing Elements.
This can then be used to lookup the Element definition in MPCELE (PPS280).

Unfortunately there's a lot of logic involved in PPS295 (Simulation) so you would probably be better of using API(s) to get the information if possible.
