Question of the Day! Where does one set Production Lead Time?

Good Afternoon!

We've got some Products set up in PDS001 that we manufacture with a set of Operations.

I need to set the Production Lead Time for these Products (each Product has a different set of Days to Produce) so that the MO Start Date accurately backs up to meet the Delivery Date.

But I'm not sure where that gets configured...whether that is somewhere in PDS?

There are several places in combination controlling this.

I think these are the main ones you'll need (probably not all of them though).

PDS002 - Operation
- 'Run Time'
- 'Setup Time'
- 'Production Days' -Subcontracted
- 'Lead Time offset'
PDS010
- 'Queue Time'
MMS002
- 'Supply Leadtime'
MMS003
- 'Administrative Leadtime'

In talking to the Operations Group, each one of the Items has a different production time...

So I'm thinking that MMS002 and MMS003 Lead Times are most appropriate...

Unless...

Does the Run Time / Queue Time take into account the number of Items in a BOM to calculate a Total Run / Queue time for different Products?

'Run Time' is calculated dynamically based on Quantity.
'Queue Time', 'Setup Time' are fixed for MO.

There are a few others as Rene mentioned, Depending on whether the Work Centre is Machine or Labour controlled, the Number of Workers / Number of machines is used in the calculation... Also there is a Flag on the Operation In PDS002 called "Fixed Time" depending on the type of operation this is sometimes used to control an operation that has to run for a fixed amount of time regardless of the quantity being processed. EG Oven timing is often not impacted by the quantity being "cooked' ....
