Workspace/Menu widget - is it possible to open M3 with a mformsautomation link from Workspace?

I would like to open M3 from my Workspace widget "Menu" with a mformsautomation link.
Though I have tried to add syntaxes (before and after my link) but does not get it to work.
M3 opens but the automation is not running. Does someone know if this is possible?
