Is there a way to attach a document in M3? Ex: Attach a quote to a PO I know you can do things in IDM, but was hoping that wasn't necessary.
Yes, assuming you are using MT M3 and IDM. Create a document type in IDM (we created Customer Purchase Order). Then using the Business Context Model, map the document type to the program(s) where you want it to be available (we used the InforSalesOrder entity to map to the new document type to all OIS screens). Then when in OIS300 for example, use the related information window to add a file (paper clip). Select the correct context (InforSalesOrder) and and document type (Customer Purchase Order). You are uploading the file in M3, storing it in IDM, and it will be visible in M3 just like system generated documents show in the related information window. Hope that helps.

In MT cloud using IDM it is very easy like described by Jon
At Pfaudler we load a lot of different documents in context with PO or CO and other programs. Some of those documents are placed authomatically in the right context by the OCR solution
