Drop ship orders with receiving

Do any of you require a receiver to be entered (via Receiving Self Svc) for drop ship orders? If you do not enter a receiver, what method do you use to confirm receipt of the order?

We have just started flagging certain IC02 locations as being drop ship. These are for offices which are not located on one of our hospital campuses. When a location is flagged as drop ship, you cannot enter a receipt. When you try to inquire on the PO on PO30, you receive an error message. We are instructing requesters to contact Purchasing ASAP if they do not receive their order.
