We are currently on CSI 9.01.12 and on-prem.
I have a customization ticket from our Accounting department. The request is as follows:
Request: Accounting wants a new "Notes" field/system implemented for the Customer records across all sites.
- A change to a note in one site will overwrite the note data for the same Customer in the other sites.
- These notes are internal only and will not be printed on any paperwork (internal or external).
- These notes should be applied to the "bill to" and "ship to" customer records, but should only appear on the 'Customers' form in the system.
- There can be multiple notes of this type for a given Customer. There should be no limitation tied to a specific 'subject' or keyword to indicate these are special notes.
Does this functionality currently exist in CSI? Object Notes do not replicate (that I am aware of), and I know we have some discrepancies in customer numbers between sites due to extra customers being added. I don't want to develop anything if CSI already can do what I'm looking for.
Any feedback would be appreciated. We do also have Doc-Trak 2020 v 4.1, but I do not believe that can help us in this situation.
