We recently did the upgrade and now users can't access their favorite reports from before the upgrade. (we have also updated OS).
When users try to run them the reports are blank:
Thanks,
Sam
Hi all, the KB article has been written and will soon be published. You may not find it yet until it has been published. KB3512611 will be sent out and those that have entered Support incidents will receive this update through your incident. Essentially, we are providing a temporary workaround that will allow you to mass copy the favorites. The permanent fix will work on your existing favorites come the June release and at that time, you may delete the duplicates once you are satisfied that the original favorites are performing as desired. I can't stress enough that the use of the Support feature is the best way to resolve issues. We want to be able to resolve issues quickly and emails and posts are not the most efficient way. The added benefit is that you aren't relying on anecdotal information and are better served with the incident process to get updates and resolution.
All my users had to recreate their favorites
That is what we are afraid of as well as we have over a hundred users with multiple saved reports each.
We are researching this to understand why this occurred. We hope to have answers as to why and how we can eliminate this from occurring in the future. We will also be looking at any options where the favorites can be corrected from this release. In the meantime, yes, the only fix at this time is to re-create and I do apologize for this.
Hi Ron,
In the interim is there an easy way to review the full list of our users that have saved reports so we can inform the relevant customers, and also potentially work with them on rebuilding their saved reports.
We had a similar issue and support suggested reloading the CUBE, which should perform the Create/Update step again. They stated to make sure to see that the chart of accounts is populated. This worked for us. I am not familiar with this process and not sure you are experiencing the same exact issue, but wanted to pass along the info in case it helped.
I and Support have tested this and the Cube Reload did not resolve the issue in my test environment nor in theirs. We are actively triaging and will hopefully have an answer soon. For Samuel11 (and others), I am not aware of a systemic listing of favorited reports but the landing page shows each user all of their favorited reports.
Hi all and apologies for the response time here. The team believes they have located the issue and has a fix that is currently in testing. The hope is to have this out this week or early next. I am still verifying that users will not have to re-create favorites so please stay tuned.
I have confirmed that for US East, the fix is anticipated to be released on June 15th and users will then be able to have their favorites working again. Of course, if users cannot wait for that release, unfortunately, the only recourse is to re-create.
Hi Ron, any word on when Canada may get the fix?
Current schedule:
08-Jun: Sydney and Frankfurt
18-Jun: London
20-Jun: Montreal
15-Jun: US-East
We have good news. We have identified a work around to fix the issue prior to the permanent fix coming in June. I will post the KB article here once it is completed should anyone want to explore this path.
Thanks Ron, that is great news.
Thanks Ron, yes we tested this workaround in our DEV environment and it works as an option. And as you mentioned we started with a ticket but also created a message on communities to inform other customers of the potential issue and ensure they were aware.
