Compliance Documents Feature Toggle Release Training?

Has anyone been able to find a Release Training on the Compliance Documents Feature Toggle that was released in the April 2024 CU? All I've seen on it so far is what's on the April 2024 Release Report. I'm looking for further information on this feature, but can't find it on Infor U.

We have been struggling with locating any information related to toggles. We have multiple tickets open for the questions we have. Happy to update here if we get further information. As of right now, we have been toggling on in non-prod and seeing what happens.

I agree, it is not easy to find the documentation for a specific toggle without some digging. I open up the Feature Toggles screen and the another tab with Infor Concierge/Release Center/My Release information/Release Training and compare course titles to toggles listed. I don't think all are reconcilable though. It would be nice if the toggle screen contained a link to the release documentation for each item.

Even using the "Feature Toggle" column in the Release Report.xlsx isn't a reliable way to find all the toggles.

Having a link to the documentation/release trainings/resources on the toggle screen itself is a good idea! It would be nice if there were one place to go to find resources, instead of having to consult 1) the Release Report spreadsheet (from a KB), 2) Release Highlights video recordings (from a different KB - but not all toggles are featured in these videos), 3) the online product documentation and 4) trying to find Release Trainings for the toggle on Infor U (if they exist for that particular toggle).

We created ticket CS0037535 for FSM (informed that documentation would be provided in Oct. 2024) and CS0056781 for HRT. About a month ago I asked in CS0056781 :

"We are reviewing the toggles for HRT in our PreProd environment. We see that the trial period end of October 2024 did not change for most of the toggles, only Columnar Reports date updated to October 2025. Can you confirm the trial period end date?

There are also numerous new toggles with dates of April and October 2025. Can you please confirm that the dates are correct, and ask for any available information and documentation for these new feature toggles?"

The response a day ago was, "Sorry about the delay, I am running this past multiple resources to confirm dates and will have an update soon."

I'm also still waiting for documentation about JR-3256807 "Refactoring Release Assets batch job to LPL and added new menu, panels, lists and forms for release assets." The process has changed, and the response to my ticket CS0140314 has been limited and non-value added.

@hans-mueller is there documentation available for the Feature Toggles that were added with the April release? The lack of documentation and information has become a significant pain point for many of us.

Hi all -

Good morning! First off, I apologize for all the confusion you are having here with the toggle features and the information sources. We agree, there are changes needed and some are in the works short term, some will take longer. We have been having a series of focus groups across the customer base about the release assets that Infor produces, and some of the same feedback has already been captured, but some of this is new. I am going to pass along all your comments above, but if anyone wants to join a future call to discuss these general release improvement topics in more detail, please let me know and I will get you added.

There is a lot to unpack in this thread of posts. It may require looking at each item individually but I will try and see how far we get.

The original issue that started this thread was the Compliance Documents feature toggle and getting more information on that item. Here is what I have found out. This item was included in the April RR by accident - it shouldn't have been (and yes, there were other features toggles included in the RR that shouldn't have been). These items are not Generally Available until October 2024. That's when they should have been published in the RR, not April. Development has identified that there is a problem in generating the RR - pulling in additional (not yet GA) feature toggles - but they are still working on the solution. At this time, unfortunately, I am not aware of a comprehensive list of all the extraneous features.

With regard to this specific one, there is a note in the RR in the Self-Adoption column, that says this feature requires Infor assistance and to contact your account executive. I believe the intent of that note was to help identify potential early adopter opportunities from interested customers - but that was not at all clear from the note, and thats another change that is needed going forward. So net net, the feature is not available right now, but we are looking for early adopter candidates to evaluate for participation in the coming months. The feature will be GA in October.

In general, you are looking in the right places.

Toggled features in the RR should match the toggled features in system.
The dates should match as well, and yes, they should be correct in the RR.
Customers should not have to confirm the published dates on a regular basis.
Yes, there is not necessarily release training for every feature toggle - it depends on the complexity of the toggle. If there is not training, its because the product team feels the steps in the RR should be sufficient to enable and use.
For even more complex features, we try and cover them on Innovation Insights, so in addition to Release Training, there may be an Innovations recording linked from KB2050829.

An example of a feature toggle not having training, but having detailed steps in the RR, is JR-6594846, Threading by Payment Schedule. There are detailed steps in the RR for enabling and use.

An example of a complex feature toggle having training and Innovation Insights coverage is Consolidated Web Apps. We covered this topic in sessions on 8/30/2023, 9/6/2023, 9/7/2023, 11/1/2023, 1/31/2024, 3/6/2024, and maybe others. These apps are rolling out over several feature releases, which is why the expirations are so far out.

So, yes, there is definitely improvement work to be done. We will make this better for October. But in the interim, if there are other questions that you have - please let me know.

For the Compliance Documents feature, if it will be GA in Oct 2024, then is the Trial Period End date of Oct 2024 that shows on the Feature Toggles page in the system accurate? Or does that date just refer to the end of the early adopter/beta phase?

We're trying to assess which feature toggles we will be required to enable through Dec 2024. Will the Trial Period end date for Compliance Documents be extended out further after it becomes GA, or will it cease to be a toggled feature and be automatically enabled for all as of the Oct 2024 CU? Let me know if I need to clarify my question further.

Thanks for your explanation about the complexity levels. I understand that some feature toggles are more complex than others, so they may not all have release trainings or recorded video highlights, but the description of Compliance Documents on the RR seemed minimal, which is why I went looking for further information. Hopefully this is helpful feedback for the product team.
