Issues with widgets after move to OS Portal

Several widgets based on the M3 Information Viewer widget no longer work after we moved to OS Portal. Has anyone experienced something similar? For information, we have API security switched on but no changes in settings have been made before nor after the migration to Portal.

We ran into same issue. All our published widgets disappeared as Infor decided to remove widget menu in V2. Now we have created dedicated workspace and embedded Infor Widgets. You can control display priority from Infor OS. Let us know if you need more information.

We did the same here, creating a workspace for Widgets. We had to compile some widgets against the latest Widget SDK. I had some troubles with some lines of code like debugger; After removing that it started working again. But I don't know if that is a generic problem.

Hi Jessika,

Our issue is not that the widgets have disappeared but instead the widgets with an M3 API are not usable as the the error message "Not allowed" is displayed. Strange thing is that these worked fine before our migration to OS Portal and we have not changed any security settings before nor after the migration. For the screenshot of the widget below, API MNS410MI transaction LstRolesByUser is executed (a transaction all of our users have access to). They can even execute this transaction in MITEST in MDP.

Hi Daniel,

I also had the "not allowed" message appear after the April update. One thing that Infor did not mention is that it seems this is caused (at least for my widgets) by users needing access to the MNS105MI Language API so that it knows what language to display the data in. Once I gave Display (5+) access to all users this error disappeared and widgets populated normally.
