Catalog Workspace Provisioning

Hi All - When selecting delivered workspaces from the catalog we're not getting any data in the widgets or list views and some of the widgets say, "widget not available."  We're noticing this with Inventory Manager, Buyer, and more.  What steps do we need to do to get data displayed in these?  Thank you.

Hi Stace.  It sounds like you might be running into a deprecated columnar widget.  There was an announcement in March about the potential for widgets to stop working with our April release.  Please reference the Infor Concierge notification called 'Deprecation of Columnar Widgets', released 3/26/24. There were 11 FSM widgets that were impacted with this deprecation. Additional information is available using KB 3503473. 

If it helps, here's the content summary of the announcement for FSM.  There's a separate section for HR widgets, some of which will be deprecated in October. Please review the KB article and let me know if I can be of additional assistance.

April 2024: Deprecation of columnar data-based widgets in Infor Financials & Supply Management (FSM)

With the release of Infor FSM 2024.04 (April 2024), all columnar-based widgets will be deprecated and no longer available.

We are making this change to reduce significant performance challenges, particularly when dealing with substantial data volumes exceeding 500 records.
 
Infor Portal widgets using columnar data will no longer provide data and will be deprecated from the Widget Catalog. Infor delivered and customer configured Workspaces using these widgets will continue to work, however the widget in the page will not render successfully. 

Our development teams have been working diligently to provide replacement widgets and /or replacement Workspaces with added functionality.
