MSCM Labels - customized?
Legacy Contributor
Anyone customized barcoded labels beyond what MSCM can do? Getting a nice cosmetic layout is easy - Avery freeware or other software can do it.
The trick is how to query the data fields that you want from Lawson in real time? Access database, ADDINS queries or???
Something user friendly for on-demand printing?

Using MS Access queries ODBC to Lawson tables (ITEMMAST, ITEMLOC, BINGRPDTL -for par cart labels) to build table information. Use Zebra DesignerPro label software to format and print the labels.
Not really quick on-demand printing as the information is manipulated to be able to print the number of units within the UOM when not in the stockkeeping UOM.

Thanks for sharing! This confirms the workaround that many of us have used. Anyone lknow of an Enhancement Request to get more selectable fields built into the MSCM customizable labels? Then we could do away with workarounds...
