As part of our company's rollout of CSI/Syteline, we are aiming to use as much of the functionality of the new platform to our advantage.
To that end, we are looking forward to using the Smart Help bar, in particular the 'My Documents' section to be able to display various helpful standard work/standard operating procedure documents as shown in the example below.

This is quite easy to do using the Document Management system (IDM), provided the user has the correct Admin access this and follows the steps listed here Infor Smart Help Administration Guide.
The issue I have is when it comes to possibly linking these uploaded documents to our customized Process Intelligence (IPI) diagrams, using the 'Related Documents' function in the right-hand attributes bar.

When clicking the '+' button to add a document, I select the option to search for an existing attachment (as this document is in the IDM from the previous upload), but nothing comes up when I type in the document name in the search bar.

I understand that this is due to the fact that for IPI, any documents that are uploaded are assigned 'IPI_Document' as the document type, whereas when the user wants to upload something to be accessible in the Smart Help bar, they have to specify the document type as 'SMARTHELP'.
My question is: Is there a way to avoid having to upload the same document twice into the IDM, albeit with different document tags?
Being able to carry out the IDM upload once would allow a single source of truth and reduce the amount of maintenance we would have to do when the documents themselves are being updated by the authorized parties.
