Noninventory Item

Hi!

Has anyone ever setup a noninventory item that can be added to orders and invoiced but does not need to be delivered in MWS410? Ideally the order line goes to status 66 when other lines have shipped, or can be invoiced at status 22.

We have tried this every way and the one that causes the least amount of confusion with our end users is to set them up at zero cost items and add like 1m in inventory to that item. This way it ensures that it allocates on the customer order and can be shipped. There is a way to set it up so they go to 66 when you ship but again they sit at 22 while everything is at 33.

My preference is to use the header charges on the customer order but due to no charge table I haven't been able to do that. I just saw that they released being able to do a header charge table setup/assignment at the customer local level so we are investigating if we can replace our service items with that instead.

Thanks. We've got it setup to stay at 22, but we can ship it without allocation.
We want to avoid shipping it at all, and using header charges/delivery charges isn't do-able for a few reasons.

A work around that also works is to use DRS011 to assign them to a dummy route. This way the system will create a separate delivery just for the service items. You can then use API-s and CMS041 to perform some steps automatically.

The downside of this is that the service charges are on a separate delivery, and therefore will not show up on the delivery document of the goods. You will also need to invoice per order.
