Hi FSM Users.

Can I get a like if you are experiencing issues with BI-FSM/Financial Reporting not loading?

Based on the KB article there's stray dimension being created and causing the reports not render.

Any other member in this community that's experiencing this?

Not sure if it is the same , but our issue was that accounting analysis rendered all zero amounts. It occurred on Wednesday.

We have tried the KB article and are receiving NA#! in BI and account analysis are not working either.

It worked once when we followed all the steps on the KB.

But today, the stray dimension is back and the exact same issue is happening again.

The issue persists. We had the same experience where even after following the steps the stray dimension reappeared.

so we had to redo the KB article step twice.

Our Understanding, FSM will push data to OLAP.

If FSM dimension does to not align to OLAP dimension, the cube refresh fails.

Once the refresh it fails, too late, the system will force it to be a cube reload rather than a cube refresh.

We're experiencing this issue suddenly today too. Searching on the KB I can see that there are apparently 17 support cases that link to it/reference it, although I don't have permission to view any of them.

Does any one have any work around?

In our environment, project manager is the stray dimension that keeps reappearing when transactions are posted and cubes reloaded.

We do not. We have followed the KB article steps twice and we are still not fixed. Continuing to work with Infor. Our stray dimension is GLTOT_ProjectManager too. This started last Friday for us.

From the look of it is multi-client issue. I don't know if it's due to that all of are in the same Farm/Multi-tenant.

From our end, its also the GLTOT_Project Manager is the dimension that's causing this issue.

We've turned off the automatic data refreshes and just post entry and refresh cube manually.

I'm hoping that somebody in this community can escalate the issue and get this resolved.

Our issue is related to the Project Manager dimension too. FWIW, we're on the AWS US East tam 202 farm. (You can figure out which farm you are on by seeing what fin-yourtenant-prd.inforcloudsuite.com resolves to using nslookup or ping, etc.)

And we've followed the KB steps but have seen GLOT_ProjectManager come back too. Very frustrating.

INFOR's update yesterday, this was tagged as critical issue.

Has this been resolved for you guys? are cube refreshes back to normal and currently scheduled?

Are your BI-FSM (Financial Reporting) reports up and running?

Yesterday we opened a Sev 2 ticket with support on this issue. This morning we had a follow up call where they said this was a known issue impacting multiple customers and that there was a Jira open with multiple internal teams working on it and they'd get back to us "later" when the Jira was updated.

I don't know when "later" will be, but I sure hope it is today.

We performed the steps in KB3524780 this morning but no change to Account Analysis or BI Dashboard reports.

We have Account Analysis "trial balance" like reports listing all accounts for Balance Sheet and Income Statement.

We found that if we re-selected all parameters and re-ran the analysis that even though 0.00 balances/activity still display, we could export to CSV/Excel and get Beginning/Activity/Ending amounts that tie.

Last week we had this same issue. I had to update d/EPM administration to the most recent. Then I had to open Financial Reporting>Dashboards>GL Financial Reporting>Financial Admin Configure> scroll down to Register Financials & Supply Managment User Groups and select "Run" > Then under Manage Perspectives Select "Create/Update" > Then the cubes will need to be reloaded/refreshed.

After the reload/refresh completed all the financial reporting data was available.

These steps are actually outlined in the KB. It worked a few times, but the issue came right back when a quick post was done with a project related transaction. We have executed the steps in the KB several times, with no success.

Yea, I saw that under step 2. We have not had the issue again. Hopefully Infor will fix the issue for everyone quickly.

Yesterday afternoon, we received instructions from Support to delete all failed cube refresh/reload jobs in async, restart the FSM OLAP database followed by a reload of cubes. There were no specific instructions to delete the rogue dimension etc. as was stated in the KB article.

However surprisingly, it worked. Even after we quick posted project related transactions and reloaded cubes, project manager dimension has not come back and reports are functioning fine.

I am curious if Infor applied some hot fix.

Could you please share an update as well?

Kindly review KB3524780, this a workaround for BIFSM/Financial Reporting issue, pending the release of the permanent fix. If you are still having problems, please let us know by creating a case through Infor’s Customer Service Management Portal. All Infor experts are working to determine the root cause of the issue and we will release the RCA as soon as it is available. We would like to reassure that this has Infor’s executives’ visibility.

When I go to that KB article this AM, I am not seeing the in-line images, only broken image icons such as the example shown here. We have tried a couple of different browsers. Can this be fixed?

we are also experiencing the same issue. it seems like the best solution is to ask support if they can attached a PDF copy of the full instruction.

All,

Scenario 3 was that one that was applicable to us. We followed the steps detailed in KB3524780 - https://customerportal.infor.com/csmcore?id=kb_article_view&table=kb_knowledge&sys_kb_id=82d049ed47978e98acf7a974116d436a

Based on the conversation from the support team, they had to restart the backend. It is unclear what that means. Hoping that they provide more visibility on that when they provide the root cause analysis.

Whatever INFOR did, they said this was completed on July 10th.

We had to perform the steps discussed in scenario 3 for the 4th time. We did this last night Sunday July 15^th at 8:00PM pacific time where there's no one working in FSM.

We are continuing to Monitor if the stray dimension will come back. Every time this stray dimension shows up, cube refreshes fails, BI-FSM (Financial Reporting) fails, and Account Analysis view in FSM shows value equal zero.

Fingers crossed that this 4th time doing the steps that it will finally work for us.

It would be interesting to know how many clients were affected by this issue and which specific farm/instance were affected.
