Files link in Inbasket and WorkUnit

Hi all,

Please provide feasible solution for this requirement. 

Every month, IPA process will create CSV file which has all employee and salary details. We need this file to send for approval. We are using lawson Payroll and MT payroll is not enabled.

We need to provide file link in Workunit and Inbasket for approval . When approver access the link, file should get downloaded.

One way to accomplish this would be....


1.  Modify IPA Process that creates the CSV file to save it into PfiFileStorage, as a binaryfile

2.  Build your url

var endpoint = "fin"
var tenant = "tamprd04gde02"
var filename = "/Payroll Data-20240716.csv"
var encodedFilename = encodeURIComponent(filename)
var URL = https://<!endpoint>-<!tenant>.inforcloudsuite.com/fsm/LpaAdmin/document/PfiFileStorage(<!encodedFilename>)

3.  Add the link to your email
<a href="<!URL>" _target=blank>Download</a>



Download works for me can also add <!filename> as an attachment to have the file just made available via the email.




PROBLEMS
- User needs access to PfiFileStorage
- Data sits here un-encrypted at rest which could be problematic for some organizations

--Ideally some custom work here to add security role/class that grants access to only specific people for the file
