Report Layout Question

Good Morning!

I and my organization are relatively new to Infor M3. Here is my problem,

I have to modify the report layout in CAS530 to include the Accounting Control Object in MITMAS

What I've been successful at so far is

Made XML Structure in CMS006
Made new layout in CMS025
Added layout in MNS210

Here is where I'm stuck. I've tried everything I can do in MNS204 and MNS205 but I can't get the output correct, Hoping to either A.) Get it selectable in the reporting options on CAS530 or B.) Set up a situation where it is selectable through MNS204/205

Appreciate any guidance. Pictures would be especially awesome! Thank you!

some screenshots would be great to try and help you understand your problem.
But if you make changes to the XML structure, for example by introducing new fields, the layout in IDM will also have to be modified.

unless it's a CSV/excel output, in which case you just have to make sure your fields have designated column numbers

is it that it's not pulling the info, or that the report output isn't changing?

So when I modify the out of the box layout I can get the info and change it to excel. The big issue is I can't modify it, I have to copy and make a new one. I posted some screen shots of what I did in the reply above

Ah, I think I see the dilemma. From everything I've seen & tested, the variants are set in stone--you can't add any, can only change the existing ones, and can't change the options on the screen where you kick off the report.

We try to put everything needed into one report, then the users can hide or ignore what they don't need. And it's always a good practice to copy the original, then modify. As you've seen in MNS210, you can have different users run different structures, but it's a pain to maintain if it's for more than a few users. Also good practice (I think) to gen standard (under actions), so that the structure you start with is the most up-to-date. Also why you don't want to modify the original, as gen standard will wipe out your changes!

You have added a new element MMACRF from MITMAS in the XML structure.

did you manage to recover it in your excel file?
