Report Options in Syteline MT Cloud allows users to send reports directly to a network printer. Just like the old On Prem Printer option, this bypasses the usual creation of a PDF file which would end up in the users' Report Output Files.
This arrangement works well for things like labels but isn't so useful for things like Invoices or Packing lists which users would wish to view via the Related Information widget. This is because the MG_EnterprisePrinting Document Type doesn't (as standard) have extra Attributes which can be used to hold Invoice Numbers etc and it's far from clear how we'd get them populated anyway.
Ideally, there would be a way to use the IDM Document Workflow mechanism to generate a document with the required attributes/document type and then use ION Configuration to call a workflow (or a similar mechanism) which forwards the document contents to Enterprise Printing on receipt in IDM. Is this possible and has anyone done it?
