"Before Continuing - Please run Update Data Structures"

Good morning all,

I have a really pickler and wondering if anyone could throw me a life line.

Yesterday at around 2pm customer was working away in their Opera3 with no issues but then started to get the message "Before Continuing - Please run Update Data Structures" which then started to filter down to other users....

I then got onto their server and as soon as I double clicked the Opera3.exe I got the same message and unable to get into Opera3 at all.

We rebooted the server in the first instance but when it came back up the same message is appearing. On checking the drive Opera3 is installed on F:Pegasus the UNC path that shows before this looked unusual, it should have been \TPC-APP-001 however was showing \TPC-APP-01-D1, my engineer renamed this back (which to be honest I don't think he should have done) but regardless it didn't make any difference.

Has anyone ever come across this before? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated..

It's trying to open a table and failing for whatever reason.

The first thing to check is whether in Windows explorer that the company data path is accessible and the files are visible.

Yes I can get access the F:PegasusO3 Server VFP and see all the folders and also call up the \TPC-APP-001 and see the share and access from there too.

I've done a compare on the SYSTEM folder with my own and checked for any missing tables and anything which just doesn't look right...

I'm just waiting on a 3rd level engineer to look at it with me, so not wanting to poke about too much.

You can check OPERA.INI on the client and see that the paths are correct in there

Also .SystemSEQCO.DBF (with VFP). CO_SUBDIR for each record should point to the relevant path for each set of company data, usually a UNC path.
