How to put a customer order, and/or customer order line on hold due to export licensing paperwork
denise
We are looking for options to prevent a shipment of a customer order, and/or line, similar to how Accounting can put a customer on hold for credit reasons. Waiting on export licensing is one example as to why the order would need to be stopped. Also we are looking at a way to prevent a sales order to be created, but not released to MPS/MRP.
Thanks,

Firsts, create a user defined field called Export Licensing, then a macro to check if this block is checked.
If not macro puts order on-hold.

I'm a newbie to macros in Visual. Do you mind sharing the code for the macro you are describing?

ah, thanks. I haven't used macros in Visual yet, but I'll give it a shot. In Visual's help topics, there are a few examples of macros. thx again.

Where in the User Guides (or elsewhere) are there macro examples?

Are you a member of VEGUG? Many examples of macros there. I would write it for you but am swamped after a mostly successful upgrade and re-implementation.

Yes, but I'm having trouble logging into the website. There seem to be two. Which one are you referring to?
