What is the performance history field? Is it pulling scores or overall ratings from the appraisal? Compensation would like to know the benefit of using this field.
You're exactly right. We have chosen this and used "1" to bring in the most recently completed performance appraisal rating. We use a recommended range based on appraisal rating, so having the details display allow them to have all the information in one place.

So compensation will see the overall rating based on the most recent planning cycle, in addition to viewing the overall rating in the manager worksheets? We never selected that field before, so I wanted to make sure that I clearly understood its point.
