Data in Custom Field Wiped Out After Approving Transfer Action Using IPA

We are encountering an issue with our IPA workflow. Specifically, when using an IPA to approve transfer actions, there is a custom field on the transfer action that contains important data. However, once the transfer action is approved, the data in this custom field is completely wiped out.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or have any insights on how to prevent the data from being erased upon approval? Any guidance on how to retain the custom field data after the approval would be greatly appreciated.

Is the data missing on transfers where the effective date is either future or current/past? or is the custom field missing data only when the transaction is submitted with a future effective date?

I've only encountered this scenario (lost data in custom field) during future transactions as the effective dated queue was not able to store the custom field value until the future transaction became current.

I'd be curious to hear what others have to contribute.

We are experiencing something similar, but only for future dated transactions. It appears to be hit or miss as well (it works sometimes and other times doesn't, some user fields work more often than others). We haven't been able to figure it out.

We have experienced a similar issue with a custom field on the Resource. We add the data on the form at Rehire (possibly Hire as well) but then the data is not on the resource record. We are still gathering information as to when this started happening. Update: we only have a few missing fields on recent hires and appears to be hit and miss as noted previously by alrich010. I'll update when I have more information.
