Allow Proxy Access
acollins
Has anyone used proxy access? Do you have any advice?
We have IPA as our only Landmark product. There is a delivered security class so that users can give someone else proxy access to their tasks, but it is not delivered in a role. We have tasks for the employee's supervisor/manager, and we would like to be able to have tasks being worked when the supervisor/manager is out of the office. We do not want a central group to administer proxy access for all users. Since the security class is not in a role, I am thinking we have to create or copy an existing role and add the proxy security class ProcessAutomationProxy_ST to the role. I am not sure if I don't see the Configuration Console because I don't have security, we do not have any Landmark applications, or I do not understand how to add the security class for proxy to users.

To access Configuration Console you need to have the ConfigConsoleSecurityAdmin_ST and ConfigurationAccess_ST roles. We haven't started looking at proxies because we can't access the feature until we can get everyone off of IE8.

If you're attempting to assign a Security class to a role: You should be able to (if you have access to the object "RoleSecurityClass") search Landmark for "RoleSecurityClass" and you can link any security class to any role. I would suggest creating a New Role and mimic the original role so if you reload Security, the Role doesn't get overwritten.
