Please consider endorsing enhancement request 112843 to have the ability to allow items to default in certain order from reqs to PO. We are experiencing issues with certain vendors rejecting orders due to items needing to be ordered in certain sequence. We are requesting a way to use the POInterface (our main scheduled job to pull reqs to a PO) with keeping the items in the same order as the req. Currently, the POInterface arranges the items in ascending order by order number. As a workaround, the buyers are updating the PO to have the items in the correct order after the PO has been rejected and resending to the vendor. Thank you for your consideration!- Kim

Hi Kim, I like this idea. Would it be something you configure on the contract? Maybe even just the ability to select a PO line and have an action to move it up or type in a new line number to re-arrange them if the PO is unreleased. Once the PO has been released the action would no longer be available. Is that what you are thinking?

We were thinking it could be flag on the POInterface job parameters, where there is a flag to allow items to default in order of the requisition lines. When we tested, the POInterface job using Process Purchase Requests creates POs from the reqs and puts the items in item number order. However, using Manage Purchase Requests, it seems to default in order of the req lines.

Our job to automatically process purchase requests uses the Process Purchase Requests. We are requesting to have the option to select the order in the job parameters that we would like the items to default to.
