Display Only Comments

Hey Everyone,

I have an open ticket with Infor support because the display only comments from the requisition are no longer transferring to the purchase order. This change may have occured around sometime in November. They advised that the process is working as designed. Display only requisition comments are not designed to transfer to the PO. I don't think that is right though.

We remember this differently. The display only comment used to transfer from the requisition to the PO when the PO was created. This comment is used for when the requester has information they want the purchasing team to know without having it transmit to the vendor or print on documents.

Does anyone else recall display only comments coming through from the requisition to the PO?

Hi Ben,

I recall there were internal-only comments that were also displayed on the PO. I might be remembering the comment type name incorrectly, but there was a comment type that didn't need to be sent to the vendor to display on the PO.

So, I agree with you. And if they insist it wasn't there, it's still a great idea to have them.

I think we used the Internal comments to do this. This is the description of each comment type from the help text:

Print On Internal Documents
Comments are printed in the purchase order document after the purchase order record is issued.

Print On Purchase Order
Comments are printed on the purchase order after the purchase order is issued.

Print On Purchase Order Trailer
Comments are printed in the purchase order document after the purchase order record is issued.

Print On Receiving Document
Comments are printed in the receiving and delivery documents after the receipt record is printed.

Print On Pick List
Comments are printed on the Warehouse pick list.

Print On Delivery Ticket
Comments are printed in the receiving and delivery documents after the receipt record is printed.

Print On Requisition
Comments are printed on the requisition.

Display Only
Comments are displayed in the list of comments only.
