ER request on addtional textblock for Customs invoice

Hi,

We are moving to the Infor M3 CE and one of our Customer modification that we have M3 13.4 we now have added as an ER request. Looking for companies that find it useful and can provide its endorsement, as well as any workaround hint! in the Cloud version.

A customs invoice sometime require declaration or additional text. This text varies depending on different parameters, and therefore a table is needed to store it and retrieve it for the prints. In our M3 13.4 version we have a customization that store this information. ZRS129 is maintenance program used, the text is then added to the printout file so that the correct information is added at the right time and on the correct document. Information can be declaration information (Frihandelsavtal) or some times other product specific information like animal skin origin.

Business Impact: This is really important for us to support import between EU and other countries.

Pfaudler is in the M3 CE version since 2018. We use OIS650 to print our custom invoices and we are using the same post text - pre text etc that we have in normal invoices so in general we are recalling the same text that we have in the various blocks. Maybe our products do not have so many requests of extra text. what programs are you planning to use for the custom invoices? OIS640 or OIS650? We found OIS640 a bit too simple and not including all required information.

Have you evaluated the use of configurable text blocks for external documents (KB2191686). We have used this functionality to add text blocks to multiple documents in M3. Perhaps this feature does not have sufficient flexibility to meet your needs (seems to support up to 4 fields for determining the text block to display). If not, perhaps an enhancement to this existing feature would help you.

This can also be done with XtendM3 using the CREXTPRT exit point.
If possible you can maintain the text from one of the many ways of handling text in M3 or if none suits your needs a dynamic table can be used and then data maintained through an experience designer application.
