Document Attachments in GHR

If an employee has attached a document to a request (Name Change for example), where do those go one the action has been approved?

Also, I'm trying to find a work unit for name changes that I am testing, but I can't find them. Do work units get generated for name changes?

We had a ticket with Infor about attachments on action forms (Change Name, Transfer, Promote, Terminate, etc.) and their response was that they don't go anywhere by design. The intended functionality is that the attachment is only expected to be part of the action request for an approver to see, not to copy to the employee profile once it completes. Bizarre, in my opinion, but you can do some configuration to make it happen (unfortunately, you have to do it on each action form). Here's what we did to make attachments added to Term flows move to EmployeeDocument after it's approved:

• Create a custom field (Employee.OurTerminationAttachment)
• Add that field to the action's Form (Employee.Terminate)
• Add/Adjust the Action Configuration (Employee.Terminate) to have an exit rule:

        if (OurTerminationAttachment entered)

            invoke Create EmployeeDocument set

                invoked.DocumentFile.Title = OurTerminationAttachment.Title

                invoked.DocumentFile.File = OurTerminationAttachment.File

                invoked.EmployeeDocumentType = "TERMINATION"

                invoked.effective date = effective date
