3-level Customer/Subsidiary/Ship-to Setup
stsi
We have a customer/prospect that needs to have a "master" customer that can then be "tied" to subsidiary customers who have various ship-to addresses. Need to record which subsidiaries have temp ship to orders. A single check comes from the Master Customer to pay all invoices generated by the subsidiaries. Has anyone done this in the past? Any info or direction provided would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've seen this done through the years at a couple of my customers. Modifications would have to be done, the main one being adding a BillTo (or AR) customer in the customer file and changing the DSR update to use that customer to create AROPEN. There would be a host of other possible changes or ramifications with this depending on the customer's needs that would have to be asked and addressed. Items like Credit Checking, Sales Analysis postings, etc.

We have a modification like this. Here is a description of our modification:
"Allow for a customer account to be designated as a 'master account'. Then other customer accounts can be assigned as 'sub accounts' to this master account. When doing cash receipts, a check from the master account can be applied to invoices for any of the sub accounts. Also, aging can be run for the master account, which consolidates all the sub accounts."
Does that sound like what you need?
