book1 opening automatically after xrl loaded
porsche-pascoe
Not sure if this is xrl or excel 2010 but we've noticed that book1 gets opened when any excel workbook is opened. We've just been closing the workbook but 3 users have now noticed it happening on their pcs and asked how to stop it.
looking on the web some suggest excel.exe /e in the start run window but that doesn't seem to cure it.
Anyone found how to stop it.
Kiran

If I remember this is standard MS Office functionality when add-ins (any, not just XRL) are used.

It's an excel issue and you can't sop it happening (that I have been able to find)
Any add-in to excel will cause a blank workbook to be created on startup.
