Messages are not getting delivered to M3 connected systems.

Hello All,

We have been observing an on going issue.

M3 sends acknowledgement notification to SAP MDG system once we get update from SAP MDG System on a customer/supplier data.

In one view, we clearly see that message has been reached the message queue.

The Active connection point is holding many messages as unprocessed for unknown reasons.

Few messages were delivered when we restarted the data flow few days back. But now the restart is not solving the issue.

Any suggestions on how to tackle this? The connection point is on EC, and we tried restarting that too, not much solution is found. No errors are found anywhere.

Hi Bonds,

Looks like your connection point is a JMS queue via EC, are there any logs in the EC? I struggle getting to logs in the EC but it should be accessible from the nodes page if I remember correctly.

Hello Callum,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, it's a JMS queue via EC. We didn't find any errors in EC that are related to the write queue of the JMS queue. That's making it more complicated to understand what's causing the issue.

I did have an issue a few years back with the EC on a file share and messages queuing up and not being delivered. I opened a support ticket with Infor and after a bit of back and fourth they found that a malformed message was blocking the entire queue on the connection point. From memory, I think it was the message header, not the actual message contents that was causing the issue.

They ended up clearing the erroneous message from the queue in the backend database and traffic began to flow again, as I couldn't manage the file share queue via ION, like you can with other protocols such as sFTP.

Best raising a support ticket with Infor if not done already. This is also why I tend to split out connection points per integration partner, to try and minimize the risk of it happening again.
