SSP Absence

Hi Everyone

I have a user who has created an ssp absence in Personnel and it is a continuation of another entered SSP absence    Previous one ended 28/02 and the new one has auto filled to 03/03   and now has 3 waiting  days at the start   instead of 01/03 an no working days

How can we  edit this to start again so it starts from 01/03     Cannot see a remove option as would like to delete this second entry  and correct so it merges with the previous absence

There are many things to be said on this one.

If you are using the Full SSP Processing then the absence needs to be entered into the Payroll rather than Personnel (it will still appear in the diary in the Personnel). 

It shouldn't make a difference whether the second SSP starts on the 1st or the 3rd it is a continuation of the February sickness so there shouldn't be any waiting days.

SSP Absence has been known to be fiddly and as this record is incorrect I would go to Payroll Processing SSP Absence then Absence Maintenance highlight the March line and click on delete. Click on OK and confirm. When you see that the absence has been removed from the diary I would then highlight the period (i.e. click on the 1st March hold down the shift key and click on the end date) then press F9 to create a new absence. If you click on the 1st March and then Create New Absence it will warn you that it is adding to the Previous Absence ! I find highlighting the absence in the diary and using F9 works better (well slightly less glitchy !)

Hopefully the new record will create without any waiting days if it does then there might be another issue.

Be warned you can only delete and start again if the SSP is still in the current period and hasn't been paid.
