CUGEX1 Limitations

We are currently on prem and use CUGEX1 a lot to store additional data. I have heard that in the cloud there are restrictions of how cugex1 can be used. Is there a published list somewhere? For example, we want to use CUGEX1 to store additional data against an ASN (PDNHEA) - would this be restricted in the cloud?

Please note that CUGEXx is restricted to ALL transaction table. The above list is only the tables that are also restricted by code. Additional transactional tables will be blocked at some time in the future.

The best practice solution for extending a table in M3 cloud is to use XtendM3 dynamic tables which is a better solution where the user tailors the included fields as well as can add their own indexes etc. This recommendation applies to all types of M3 tables and not only transactional tables.

Magnus - thanks for the recommendation. What about using CUGEX2 and CUGEX3 for storing statistical data - not related to a record. Will this still be allowed in the Cloud

Not really. None of these tables are designed to manage any larger volumes of transactions since everything ends up in the same place. Even thought there is no specific restriction for the other CUGEX tables the same applies to them. As earlier stated XtendM3 tables are a much better solution.
