I'm looking to manually change an expiry date on a specific balance ID, MMS130 has the functionality but always prompts me to create a new item/lot number. I want to change the Exp date but keep the same item/lot, how do i do this please?

The expiration date is managed at the item-lot level, so the warehouse and location should not be recorded on the MMS130 screen.

Even though it "looks" like it is going to create a new item/lot number it actually doesn't do that .... I have run this process many times and it has never created a new lot number. I suggest you test it in a test environment just to reassure yourself. I just changed a lot's expiry date and it worked as it always has. In my experience I only enter the Item and Lot Number
Hi, thanks for the responseour business has added a block into the warehouse and location fields so we have to populate, because we have lot numbers in different warehouses so when we were transacting MMS130 it was changing the Bal Id in all warehouses. I believe this block is stopping us from changing exp without changing lot number. I have tested in the test env numerous times and it always changes lot!
As indicated above. Since the Expiration Date is on the Lot Level, and you want to change for a specific Balance, a New Lot is required to allow this for the Balance only (even if you only add a '-1' at the end for instance).
