If we have a non-stock item but need to capture Material issue cost against MO, how to handle this?

In Infor M3 - We have a scenario where a item is created as office supply but it will not be maintained stock in the system because it is a tiny material like small pins and nuts so they create a non stock item with 1 $ cost and in the quantity they will enter a lumpsum value to capture the total office supplies. This item should be added to a Manufacturing order and we have to capture only the issue of non stock item value

How to handle this ? now If I do an issue system issued the non stock item but there is no value capture after running CAS950

Please help to resolve this issue

Hi , have you looked into creating a BOM line that has issue method backflush or requisition?

Can you explain a bit better? normally Non inventory items do not require MMS002/MMS003 (but you can set that up if you want).

Are those items set up to standard cost/actual or average cost in MMS003?

I would like to try to replicate in my environment. I have some items set up at 1$ and then we use the quantity in the PO in order to have the costs.. but we use the same concept all around the process and we capture also the quantity in inventory.
