Opera II & a Virtual Server
neil
We have a customer who wants to move their existing OperaII Installation onto a VMWare virtual server.
The virtual server will be running Server 2008 Std Edition
Has any one done this before ?
If so any potential problems etc.
Thanks
Neil

We have a fair few people using virtual servers at this stage - at the end of the day Opera II is running on Windows Server 2008 or whatever OS it is, whether the hardware isg virtualised or not. So your only concern would be that enough resources are allocated to the virtual server. You will of course face the same task as you would in moving it from server to server anywhere. Personally I'd install a new copy on the new server and migrate in everything from the old one as if you were doing a V4 - V6 upgrade.
