In my project, I need to connect to DataLake using Microsoft SQL Server. Im using the Linked Server functionality. How can I achieve this? I’ve already tried using JDBC-to-ODBC bridge drivers, but this solution appears to be very slow and unstable.
Did anyone ever answer this for you? Check out streaming pipelines - they (Infor) should be supporting on-prem SQL Server in Data Fabric shortly if they're not already (you might be able to talk them into pre-release).
I also am VERY interested in this. So much easier for me to navigate and more powerful than Compass.
At present we have APIs and the JDBC driver. The Data Fabric roadmap has a ODBC driver and some native MS connection planned. Please check the roadmap for that. The other options are to use APIs, use Pipelines, use ETL or to push the data from ION. It depends on your requirements. But connecting most Microsoft solutions, which do not support JDBC, is a challenge at present.
Thank You Kevin!
Has anyone used the Progress JDBC / ODBC connector to get to it…
Ive used it back in the day, but it has been a while
There are a couple of partners that have products to do what you are wanting, including us and our DataPond product. Feel free to reach out if you want to know more.
We’ve developed a tool called Syynchronizer for exactly this purpose. It automatically creates all configured tables in SQL Server and is already live at multiple customers, processing large volumes of data reliably.
If you’d like a demo, feel free to contact me at roy@syync .nl.
