Opera II Backup / Restore message: "Please insert the First disk of a multiple set. Continue?"
We have identified the following limitation / issue when renaming Opera II generated Backup files. It is currently under review but I would like to know if there are any commenst out there concerning this issue?
Message "Please insert the First disk of a multiple set. Continue?" when restoring in OPera II from Backup file which has been renamed.
Do not rename Backup file or has to be in format Backupxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.zip where name is no more than 21 characters
Reported in Opera II version 6.60
Verified in Opera II version 6.61
To recreate using DemoData
1. System - Utilities - Backup - select company Z (No additional files need be done)
2. Using Explorer go to the Backup folder and find this backup file and add ABCD to end of file name
3. System - Utilities - Restore
NOTE can see the renamed Backup file in grid
4. highlight this file and Next
NOTE "Please insert the First disk of a multiple set. Continue?" message appears
This is due to the cursor of the list of Backup files having a file name field of 21 characters. The renamed Backup is longer than 21 so gets truncated therefore the file cannot be found - causing misleading message
NOTE - Documentation also needs to be updated to reflect whatever restrictions/changes are applied
