SecurityUserMaster removes Manager from IFS

When there is a change to a resource in HR Talent, it updates the IFS user with the name change and email of the user that was modified. However, if they had a Manager listed on their IFS record it is being removed when the SecurityUserMaster BOD is processed by ION.

How can we not have it remove this information each time there is an update from HR Talent?

Can you look at the process.SUM BOD that was published and see if there is manager information within it? It could be an issue with what is being published in the BOD itself, it seems like manager info is missing or null causing IFS to remove the manger when the BOD is consumed.

I inspected the process.SUM XML and Manager is not a listed field. However, fields like Title and Department are also not listed and they are not being overwritten with null values.

That does seem odd, I did find KB2232993 that discusses the same thing happening from LN and there was a tenant feature flag that could be enabled to stop this from occurring. I would open a support ticket, reference the KB and find if this is still an applicable fix as the KB was from a few years ago.

It seems like that IFS expects the manager to be present on the BOD ( required attribute ) and if omitted takes it as null which removes any existing value where department or title are not required and no update to fields are done when not present on BOD. From past experience I dont believe that the process.SUM coming from Landmark can be modified to include manager but that is something to also check with application team as a potential fix.
