We're currently exploring options within Infor HR Talent (v11) to streamline time entry and enhance data integrity related to our finance dimensions. I’d appreciate any guidance or experience others might have on the following:
1. Time Entry Enhancements
We’re hoping to enable:
- Multi-day entry: Users should be able to enter time for multiple days in one action.
- Record duplication: Users should be able to duplicate an existing time entry to reduce redundancy for similar daily work.
Is there a configuration, extension, or workflow others have used successfully to accomplish this?
2. Finance Dimension Validation
We have specific rules for fund usage tied to company codes (Finance Dimensions). For example:
- Only Funds 100, 120, 130, 140, 150 should be used under Company 10
- Only Funds 200, 210, 220 should be used under Company 20
We’d like to enforce this with a validation rule or IPA validator that prevents users from saving records with mismatched combinations and provides an error message.
Has anyone implemented something like this? We'd love to hear how you handled validation and enforcement of these kinds of dimension rules.
