Secondary inventory location items types I keying as N in RQ10
unknown
We have a secondary inventory location. This locations stocks some items not maintained in our main inventory location and ordered directly from vendors. The IC12 record for the secondary location has the inventory tracking flag set to yes with an assigned bin but items when keyed in RQ10 show as item type N not I and we cannot change-message " cannot change item type" If the flag is set as inventory type I why when keyed does it show up as N-Any ideas?

Does the Requesting Location used on the req have the location for the main inventory location or the secondary location in the From Location field?
unknown
I created a RQ01 record using the secondary location as the from location. It let me create a requistion and the item type was I but I cannot grab the requisition in PO23 to create the PO. I ran a PO100 and it did not come through. The requsition in RQ44 shows as processed.

Now that the req is pointing to the secondary location as it's From Location the item is inventory so it won't go to PO23. WH130 needs to be run to create the shipment and then finish and release the shipment in WH32. Run IC140 to replenish inventory from the vendor. You won't see the item in PO23 until the stock on hand is below the reorder point.

OK-I ran the WH130 and I see the req now.
