App Studio: sorting slices to get headers and footers

We're building an income statement report in App Studio using a hyperblock and having problems with headers and footers for sections in the report - we can't get them to sort in the slice so that the header is above a section with the footer below. I've tried different filters and sorting, applying breaks etc, but to no avail. Do I have the wrong approach to the report or is there something that would allow the duplicates for headers/footers to be moved per the arrows of the pic of our slice data below?

This is all going to be dependent on how you have your segments set up. First off, is Hierarchized turned off? If not, in your sort section have you clicked the "break hierarchy" button?

It could also come down to the way your chart structure is set up and what level the members are that you selected.

If you can share a few of those items I can help narrow down the solution.
