Current Process: Currently, the TPOP horizon does not utilize the warehouse calendar, leading to insufficient order generation when running the generate session in a scheduled batch job. This issue has made TPOP generation a manual activity, which is not acceptable to the warehouse operations teams.
Proposed Enhancement:The enhancement (ER 121866) involves incorporating the warehouse calendar into the TPOP session to ensure accurate and timely order generation. This will align planned delivery dates and times with warehouse operating hours and non-working days, as defined in the warehouse calendar.
Business Impact:
- The replenishment team often idles, waiting for manual intervention before long-weekends, holidays or shutdowns.
- Orders generated manually later in the day lead to overtime to catch up with replenishment tasks.
- Current workaround involves employing an operator at each site to run this manually daily before the shift starts.
