Some background, I am primarily an Infor d/EPM developer, but I am using ION to configure a dataflow between an d/EPM via an engine routine, and the data lake.
I have been impacted by a recent change to the bice connection point - the application connection point for the Infor d/EPM farm.
Prior to the change I was able to add JSON type documents. Now the connection point will only allow for BOD type documents.
This change doesn't impact any existing JSON documents I have added, but does impact trying to add further documents.
What I am trying to achieve is the import of JSON data files into a newly created object schema.
Without the ability to add this new object schema to bice (as it is a JSON which is now not supported), I am stuck as to what process I should be following to add this schema to a valid connection point.
Has anyone else been impacted by this change? Or would anyone be able to provide some insight on either
- How to create a new connection point that would allow for JSON files to be added.
- How to create a BOD type object schema which would be valid to add to bice - would also require knowing how to convert a JSON data file to a BOD type data file for the upload process.
- Another process which they use and would recommend.
