IPA or RPA

Hello. I am a new Infor customer. We just went live at the first of the year. I am looking through the Infor Community portal and looking for groups to participate in. We are utilizing RPA for a few business scenarios. Are IPA and RPA different products/solutions? Apologies for my noob-ness if this is a silly question.

RPA and IPA are different solutions.

IPA is "Infor Process Automation" and is a Landmark solution you can use to automate tasks in FSM / HCM. Process Flows are built using the Infor Process Designer, an eclipse flavored IDE installed locally on workstation. IPA flows can drive approval processes, perform Landmark actions, and much more. There is some delivered functionality in FSM / HCM that is driven by IPA flows, so if you are an FSM / HCM customer you like already using the delivered IPA process definitions.

RPA is "Robotic Process Automation" is a different Infor OS automation tool for performing other headless actions.
