It is my understanding that when running CIS and Opera together that when the 'Update nominal ledger pending postings' is run it will create draft journals in Opera under Nominal > Journals which the user is then required to post manually.
Recently, we have one customer who after upgrading the v2.99.30 of Opera 3, suddenly started finding that the journals started to post in real time to the nominal.
The customer was very happy as this was actually a feature which they would like to be included in the software. However, after the period end was run in the nominal it stopped posting in real time. Until recently, when it part way through the month started posting a chunk of them in real time again.
I have tried to recreate this in demo data but I have been unable to get it to post in real time, the journals always require manual posting.
I logged this with Pegasus support and have been going back and forth for months now and they are adamant that CIS/Opera is working as designed and that the journals should be posting in real time.
Has anyone else ever managed to get the CIS journals to Opera to post in real time? All of our customers are running RT but are still required to manually post the journals that are created by CIS.
Please note: I'm referring to the CIS journals which are created under Nominal > Journals for things such as the Subcontract postings, not SL/PL transactions which go straight to the SL/PL ledgers.
I would greatly appreciate any responses on this as I am slowly losing my mind with this one.
