Opera 3 VFP - Adding Employer Pension This Period Contribution to the Payslip

Hi Everyone,

We have a customer who has moved from Capital Gold Payroll to Opera 3 VFP. They have asked if we can add the Employer Pension contribution this period value to the payslip design as this was shown in Capital.

I cant seem to get this to work at all and was thinking this may need soe bespoke code.

Has anyone been successful in adding this to the payslip before i go and explore the bespoke route?

Hiya Melissa

You need to add the code on the form, it depends on how many deduction profiles you have that are set as either X or H, the number then corresponds to the code. In these examples the dedcal(1,1) is the description of the first Deduction, the dedcal(1,2) is the value of the first deduction.

The first part of the formula is saying that if the value for the period is 0, then don't print anything, else print the description of the deduction or the value of the deduction

Description of the deduction:

IIF(p_oCallingForm.dedcal(1,2) <>0,p_oCallingForm.dedcal(1,1),"")

This period value for the deduction:

IIF(p_oCallingForm.dedcal(1,2) <>0,p_oCallingForm.dedcal(1,2),0)
