There's an issue for a customer of ours over the last week where emailing through Opera 3 SQL SE SMTP has ceased working.
PLEASE IF SOMEONE HAS ANY INFORMATION LET ME KNOW AS THIS IS A REAL HEAD SCRATCHER!
The emails do not fail and return any errors, they are retrying without any success.
Opera generates the message details, as shown in the Opera3SECore tables, and the pdf's for payslips and single statements are created in the company repositories.
There are no error logs generated when sending from two email addresses used for emailing payslips or an email addressed used for sales statements, all of which are from the same customer domain.
The smtp details work for another application sending via smtp with pdf attachments and the test email works in SAM.
The customer IT state they can send logs of test emails sending but no logs for any attempts emailing in Opera.
It's as if Opera has sent the emails to the mail server yet the mail server has no record of them being received so where are they? Somewhere in the ether? Purgatory?
